Our Story

Fuel Forward Foundation was born out of a moment of crisis and community.

When Hurricane Helene devastated communities across the Southeast, entire towns were left without access to fuel. Families were stranded, businesses couldn’t operate, and first responders faced added challenges. In Augusta, Georgia, we saw firsthand how dire the situation was. Our Juiced Fuel trucks set up in a Chick-fil-A parking lot closed that Sunday and in just a few short hours, every drop of fuel we had was gone. People lined up patiently, grateful for any help, and many people online asked a question we weren’t prepared to answer:

“Can I give you money to help bring more fuel to people in need?”

The truth was, we didn’t have a way to responsibly accept donations or deploy them where they were needed most. But that moment stuck with us. The need was undeniable, and so was the generosity of people who wanted to help.

That’s when the idea for Fuel Forward Foundation was born.

Our mission is simple: to provide fuel relief when disaster strikes. By building a nonprofit dedicated to hurricane and emergency response, we can accept donations transparently and ensure every dollar goes toward moving fuel forward getting families, communities, and responders back on their feet when they need it most.

Fuel Forward Foundation exists because of that day in Augusta, because of the people who believed fuel could be more than a commodity, it could be a lifeline.

Caroline McDavid

President, Fuel Forward Foundation

Caroline McDavid is the visionary behind Fuel Forward Foundation, serving as its President and Founder. With a deep passion for giving back and a heart for community, Caroline created the foundation to bring hope and practical relief to people impacted by natural disasters and emergencies. Inspired by her family’s history of military service, entrepreneurship, and community involvement, she saw the need for a nonprofit that could provide one of the most critical resources in times of crisis: fuel.

Through her leadership, Fuel Forward Foundation mobilizes resources, builds partnerships, and unites volunteers to deliver fuel when and where it’s needed most. Caroline combines her background in nonprofit operations, event planning, and business development with her entrepreneurial drive as co-founder of Juiced Fuel to lead with both strategy and compassion. Her mission is simple but powerful: to keep communities moving forward, even in their hardest moments.

Caroline’s passion for service fuels everything she does, whether it’s supporting local families, empowering volunteers, or ensuring the foundation is ready to respond when disaster strikes.

Fuel is more than a commodity, it’s a lifeline.

When disaster strikes, access to fuel becomes one of the biggest barriers to recovery. Families can’t evacuate, first responders struggle to move equipment, and businesses remain closed. Fuel Forward Foundation exists to change that by bringing reliable fuel relief directly where it’s needed most.

Families

We help households get back on their feet after hurricanes and natural disasters. By ensuring cars, generators, and essential equipment are fueled, families can focus on safety and recovery instead of scarcity.

Responders

Emergency crews can’t save lives without fuel. We supply first responders with the resources they need to move quickly, power critical equipment, and reach communities that need urgent help.

Communities

Recovery doesn’t end with families. It extends to entire towns. We support small businesses, shelters, and local infrastructure with fuel to keep essential services running during crisis response.

Our Roots

Fuel Forward Foundation was born in Augusta, Georgia, in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. What started as one parking lot fueling effort is now growing into a dedicated nonprofit serving disaster-prone regions across the Southeast and beyond.

Let’s make a difference when it matters most.
